Mumbai: In the first nine months of 2024, Mercedes-Benz, a German luxury car maker, reported a 13 pc year-on-year increase in car sales in India, reaching 14,379 units, marking its best-ever performance from January to September. The company also mentioned that in September quarter, there was a 21 pc increase in car deliveries with 5,117 units, compared to the same quarter last year.
The company reported that Mercedes-Benz has delivered 14,379 new vehicles from January to September, showing a 13 percent increase compared to last year. In the third quarter of 2024 alone, 5,117 units were delivered, representing a 21 percent increase. Mercedes-Benz is defying the industry trend.
Mercedes-Benz India reported that the sales of battery electric vehicles (BEV) increased by 84 percent, reaching 800 cars during the January-April period compared to the same period in 2023, surpassing all other luxury brands in the domestic market.
