New Delhi: Microsoft and OpenAI are teaming up for a big project called "Stargate." It's a supercomputer that will cost about Rs 7.5 trillion and is set to be ready by 2028. It is part of a data center project that could cost as much as $100 billion.

This project is part of a plan they've been working on for six years to make AI technology better. Microsoft and OpenAI are currently navigating the third phase of their strategic roadmap and Stargate is the last step in their plan. It involves building advanced data centers and getting special AI chips.

Microsoft would likely finance the project, which is expected to be 100 times more costly than some of the biggest existing data centers

Microsoft is also making a smaller supercomputer that will be ready by 2026. Both projects are part of a bigger plan to improve AI technology.
