PM Modi reviewed nine key infrastructure projects across 13 states outlaying more than ₹ 41,500 cr

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday reviewed nine significant infrastructure projects distributed across 13 states with a total expenditure of more than 41,500 crore.

While presiding over the 41st iteration of PRAGATI, the ICT-based multi-modal platform for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation, which includes the federal government and state governments, PM Modi evaluated the projects.

Nine important infrastructure projects were evaluated at the conference, including one each from the Ministries of Power, Coal, Petroleum and Natural Gas, and Health and Family Welfare, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office. Three projects were from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, two from the Ministry of Railways, and one project each from the Ministries of Power, Coal, Petroleum and Natural Gas, and Health and Family Welfare.

These nine initiatives, which span 13 states including Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Arunachal Pradesh, have a combined cost of over 41,500 rupees. The gathering also covered Mission Amrit Sarovar, according to the release.

The PM GatiShakti site should be used by state and federal departments for organising building projects, Prime Minister Modi recommended.

According to the statement, he urged on swift settlement of property acquisition, utility relocation, and other problems in order to timely complete projects. He emphasised the need for effective collaboration between state and federal government departments. n addition, Prime Minister Modi evaluated "Mission Amrit Sarovar" and used drones to view Amrit Sarovar locations in Kishanganj, Bihar, and Botad, Gujarat, in real time.

The prime minister further urged all departments and state administrations to finish the Amrit Sarovar project in mission mode before the start of monsoon.

It added that the innovative concept of "Mission Amrit Sarovar" is working to revitalise water bodies all across the nation, which will help preserve water for the future. The prime minister stressed block-level monitoring for timely completion of the goal of 50,000 Amrit Sarovars under the plan.

After the operation is finished, it is anticipated that subterranean water recharge will increase by over 22 million cubic metres, the projected carbon sequestration will be about 32,000 tonnes per year, and the water storage capacity will increase by roughly 50 crore cubic metres.

The statement added that the completed Amrit Sarovars are developing into hubs of neighbourhood activity and involvement, fostering the ethos of "Jan Bhagidari."

The "Amrit Sarovars" locations host a variety of social events, including the Swachchata Parade, Jal Shapath on water conservation, schoolchildren's activities like rangoli competitions, and celebrations of religious holidays like Chhath Puja.

According to the statement, 328 initiatives with a total cost of 15.82 lakh crore have been evaluated during PRAGATI sessions so far.
