Guwahati: Ahead of Myntra's 'End of Reason Sale', the e-com platform- Myntra has teamed up with Google Cloud to launch an AI-powered feature, Dream Room Inspirations, in a strategic bid to deepen customer engagement and capture a larger slice of India’s rapidly growing $30 billion home décor market. This innovative feature leverages Google's advanced generative AI model, Imagen 3, via Vertex AI, to convert user text prompts into high-quality, personalized room visuals, enabling customers to better visualize and curate their living spaces into Myntra’s platform.
By introducing Dream Room Inspirations, Myntra aims to streamline the often fragmented home shopping journey, bridging the gap between inspiration and purchase. The AI-powered feature allows users to input themes like “bohemian chic” or “modern minimalist” and instantly generate photorealistic visuals of rooms styled in those aesthetics, driving an intuitive and immersive shopping experience.
"Since the introduction of this category, we realized curation and inspiration-based shopping is core to the customer journey," said Lakshminarayan Swaminathan, Vice President, Product Management and Design at Myntra. "Customers search for décor inspirations on the web before they decide on what to purchase. We are offering an experience that is both intuitive and immersive, ensuring that every home reflects the unique style of individuals."
The 'Dream Room Inspirations' feature allows users to select room types such as bedrooms or living rooms and choose from various interior design themes including Bohemian Chic, Eclectic Flair, Chic Coastal, Modern Minimalist, and Indie Corner. The AI then generates detailed images reflecting the selected styles, streamlining the journey from inspiration to purchase within the Myntra app.
"The feature exemplifies how generative AI can bridge the gap between inspiration and purchase, providing users with high-quality, visually stunning room images generated from text with remarkable precision," said Mitesh Agarwal, Managing Director, Customer Growth Engine, Architecture, Solutions and Technology, Google Cloud APAC. "This collaboration highlights the potential of our technology to empower leading platforms like Myntra to redefine customer journeys and capitalize on the significant online demand in the home and furniture category."
