Nagaland's Kohima to witness power outages; Details here

Kohima: The Department of Power, Transmission Division Kohima has announced a vegetation clearance and maintenance programme for 33kV, 66kV, and 132kV transmission lines from April 22 to May 20. The programme will cause power outages in several areas of the Nagaland capital.

The total shutdown of power will be from 8 am to 3 pm daily to ensure smooth execution of the unavoidable activity, the department informed. "The affected areas include Jakhama, KRM-I, KRM-II, Lalmati, AP-I, Chakhabama, Botsa, Tuensang-Kiphrie, and Phek", said the Nagaland government release.

"Consumers and the public are requested to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period", officials said.
