Plutus Wealth buys SpiceJet's shares for Rs 50 crore

New Delhi: On Tuesday, Plutus Wealth Management increased its stake in SpiceJet, a domestic airline, by purchasing more shares worth Rs 50 crore in an open market deal. As per the bulk deal offered by the BSE, Plutus Wealth Management acquired 75 lakh shares, equivalent to a 0.58 per cent ownership in SpiceJet based in Gurugram.

The stocks were purchased for an average of Rs 66.70 each, totaling Rs 50.02 crore in transaction value. Sellers of SpiceJet's shares on the BSE could not be identified. SpiceJet's stock prices surged by 6.95 pc and ended the day at Rs 68.13 per share on the BSE. Plutus Wealth Management acquired 85 lakh shares of SpiceJet on Monday, totaling a 0.66 per cent stake in the domestic airline for Rs 51 crore.
