Rameswar Teli on a visit to Haldia Refinery; discussed development & expansion

Haldia: Mr. Rameswar Teli, Minister of MoP&NG and Labour & Employment visited Haldia Refinery, Marketing terminal & Pipeline division of IndianOil, IPPL, HPCL and BPCL on 03rd March 2023.

Mr. Teli made an extensive visit inside the plant where he was presented with a technical brief of the units along with recent achievements and milestones achieved by Haldia Refinery by CGM&RH, Mr. Atanu Sanyal. Minister also interacted with Haldia Refinery employees and showed keen interest in discussing the operational challenges and unique features of the refinery. He further reviewed the preparations of the on-going state-of-the-art Second Catalytic Dewaxing project. Hon’ble Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of this unit on 07th Feb 2021.

During the visit, Mr Teli reviewed the plant facilities and discussed on future plans for the development & expansion of Haldia Refinery. He advised the refinery to provide the details of HFC land for perusing with concerned Minister and hoped IOCL will make future use of the land in Petrochemical project.

Mr Teli apprised the officials about the latest developments in the energy sector and talked about the futuristic scenario. He appreciated the good work done by Haldia Refinery in the recent past and was extremely happy with the housekeeping & cleanliness inside the refinery premises.

He said that he would be visiting more offices and locations of OMCs and Oil & Gas fields so as to get a first-hand opportunity of interacting with OMC officials who are working very hard in the field.
