Guwahati: State Bank of India (SBI) announced the launch of Real-Time Xpress Credit on its Yono platform on Monday, allowing qualified clients to get personal loans of up to Rs 35 lakh.

According to the bank, its flagship personal loan product for salaried customers, Xpress Credit, now has a digital avatar and can be obtained through Yono. It promised a paperless and digital experience with an eight-step journey from start to finish.

SBI's central, state government, and defence salaried clients will no longer need to visit a branch to apply for a personal loan under Real-Time Xpress Credit. According to the company, credit checks, eligibility, sanctions, and paperwork will now be done online and in real-time.
