Tata Power pact with Siemens ltd will aid to development in power sector

Guwahati: Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd., a private-sector power distributor, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the multinational technology corporation Siemens Limited to address the training requirements of the power distribution staff.

It also intends to combine the capabilities and expertise of the two organisations for the sector's overall benefit.

According to a TPDDL statement, the MoU would support reforms in both India and other nations as well as aid in the development of a pool of certified and talented workers.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in New Delhi by K.N. Sreekumar, Vice President and Head of Digitalization & Sustainability, Smart Infrastructure, Siemens Limited, and Praveen Agrawal, Chief HR and IR, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited.

In accordance with the MoU, TPDDL and Siemens will provide training on different power distribution technologies and equipment. These seminars will also cover successful execution, real-world applications, maintenance of electrical networks, and setting up and using practical applications.

The businesses will collaborate to provide a hands-on experience with the most recent technology through self-paced learning modules or instructor-led events. Siemens India will serve as Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited's technical advising partner and aid in the promotion of best practises as part of this capacity-building training programme created exclusively for discoms.
