Bengaluru: TVS Motor Company recorded a monthly sale of 489,015 units, a 13 pc growth from the 434,714 units sold in October 2023. The performance of the two-wheeler sector was especially strong, seeing a 14 pc increase in total sales, from 420,610 units in October 2023 to 478,159 units in October of this year. The number of two-wheelers sold in the domestic market rose by 13 pc , going from 344,957 units to 390,489 units.
In the category of motorcycles, there was a significant 14 pc increase in sales, from 201,965 units last year to 230,822 units this year. Scooters also made a positive impact, showing a 17 pc growth in sales, rising from 165,135 units to 193,439 units.

Sales of electric vehicles (EV) saw a significant 45 pc increase, rising from 20,153 units in October 2023 to 29,308 units in October 2024. This increase demonstrates the increasing consumer focus on eco-friendly transportation options. In terms of global sales, TVS Motor Company experienced a 9 pc growth in total exports, with sales rising from 87,952 units to 95,708 units. More precisely, the exports of motorcycles experienced a strong 16 pc increase, climbing from 75,653 units to 87,670 units.

Nevertheless, the trike market encountered difficulties as sales dropped from 14,104 units in October 2023 to 10,856 units in October 2024. Strategic changes may be necessary to improve performance in this category due to the decrease.
