Guwahati: A significant shift in the medical care of the state. 108 ambulances in Assam get a digital overhaul in the service delivery system.

The 108 Project has embarked on a new journey of automation and digitization processes.

This adoption will result in a sea shift in Assam's medical landscape.

According to the agreement between GVK EMRI and the Government of Assam, the whole hardware and software architecture of the previous 108 systems has been refurbished, and new systems have been put in place to promote higher operational efficiency and ease of access to the 108 ecosystems for both the public and staff. The organisation has switched from the old system of manual ambulance allocation to Computer Aided Dispatch in order to achieve its aim in the digitalisation process of automation in this facet so that this ambulance assignment is completed in the lowest feasible period.

Furthermore, various applications have been developed to make life easier for our valuable on-field employees, such as the Pilot App, e-PCR app, and so on, so that the time-consuming process of manual filling of records can be avoided and a one-stop solution for inputting patient and vehicle-related information can be uploaded digitally through the mobile phone that has been made available to every 108 ambulances operating in the state. Furthermore, the previous manual fuelling method has been updated to fleet cards in order to progress down the road of digitization, which has greatly reduced manual paperwork and enabled us to achieve new levels of operational efficiency through the use of automation.

Besides from the various on-the-job applications developed for the organization's on-the-job staff, several methods for tracking in-house employee attendance have been developed. There is no attendance management, records kept, and biometric data is the primary source of attendance for our in-house staff, with payroll based on the data retrieved from the biometric programme.
As part of the implementation plan for full process automation, GVK EMRI has developed an "Attendance" application for their on-site employees with the goal of reducing paper records while also capturing attendance records and managing leave through digital integration with our on-site employees' HRMS. The app has been installed on the mobile phones of all 108 ambulances, and all of the employees have received training on the new attendance app in the past fifteen days.
