Arunachal Dy. CM visits Subansiri Lower Project

Itanagar: The Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein, who is also the power minister, visited National Hydroelectric Power Corporation’s (NHPC’s) 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Project on March 11.

On his arrival at Gerukamukh complex of the project, the minister and other dignitaries were accorded a warm welcome by Executive Director-Subansiri Lower Project, Vipin Gupta.

The minister visited various sites of the project and took stock of the progress of the ongoing construction. Gupta apprised him of the progress.

Later, the minister also held a review meeting with senior officials of NHPC in which a brief presentation on the status of works was made by the head of the Subansiri project.

Besides, the minister also discussed in details the other projects allocated to NHPC in Subansiri Basin — Subansiri Middle HEP (Kamle) and Subansiri Upper HEP — and directed NHPC to initiate immediate activities in those upcoming projects.
