Assam Gramin Vikash Bank introduces gift bag for Puja Season

The Assam Gramin Vikash Bank has come up with new bag of gifts for the customers this festive season. They are offering car loan, home loan and bike loan with lowest interest at 7.95 percent per annum.

For availing it, the customers need not pay any processing fees either. In addition to that they will not charge any additional security.

The other schemes in this festival season are the availability of Gold Loan and Apun Ghar Scheme for the state government employees.

Assam Gramin Vikash Bank is the only regional rural bank of Assam, India. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Finance , Government of India.

The bank was formally launched on 12 January 2006 after amalgamation of Pragjyotish Gaonlia Bank, Lakhimi Gaonlia Bank, Cachar Gramin Bank and Subansiri Gaonlia Bank, which were sponsored by erstwhile United Bank of India now Punjab National Bank.

Currently, the Chairman of the Bank is Debasish Gangopadhyay.

The bank has a vision to include as well as spread Banking literacy to each household of its area of operation. It is interested to initiate appropriate intervention for economic upliftment of the people of Assam through Agriculture, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to accomplish the mandate set out for the regional rural banks and thus, emerging as a strong, vibrant and socially committed Mass Class Bank ( bank for the masses and the classes).

The bank is growing at a fast rate. The growth percent over previous year is 2.68 percent according to the Assam Gramin Bikash Bank Annual Report 2022.
