New Delhi: Auto-maker Skoda Auto on Monday said its newly introduced mid-sized SUV Kushaq has crossed said the 10,000 bookings mark in the country. The model has bolstered the growth of the company in India.

The company said it has decided to equip the automatic Style variants with six air FC bags (both 1.0L and 1.5L) and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) at an incremental cost of around Rs 40,000.

"Despite unprecedented pressures caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the supply challenges, Skoda is delighted to announce that we have crossed the 10,000 bookings milestone for the Skoda Kushaq. The model was made keeping in mind what matters most to customers, and it is a matter of pride for us that the car is finding its way to many Indian homes," Skoda Auto India Brand Director Zac Hollis said in a statement.

Skoda had launched Kushaq in June this year priced between Rs 10.5 lakh and Rs 17.6 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
