New Delhi: Bharat Biotech International will roll out the new nasal vaccine for Covid 19 iNCOVACC in the fourth week of January 2023.

Bharat Biotech, an Indian vaccine manufacturer, stated on Tuesday that private hospitals will be able to purchase the intranasal Covid-19 vaccine, which has been licenced by the Centre as a booster dosage, for Rs 800 plus additional taxes and service fees per dose.

iNCOVACC has been given the go-ahead for both the primary two-dose schedule and as a heterologous booster dosage. It will be administered as nasal drops. India will now have a further choice for the third dosage or further Covid preventative doses. Anyone above the age of 18 is eligible to get the nasal vaccine.

According to Krishna Ella, executive chairman of Bharat Biotech, the company has produced Covaxin and iNCOVACC, two Covid vaccines from separate platforms with various delivery systems, and has met the objectives established during this pandemic.

The CoWIN platform welcomed the nasal vaccination, iNCOVACC, last week. The nasal vaccination is advised as the initial booster, though.

The Co-Win website will provide all the vaccination-related information. Through Co-WIN, the government's online vaccination registration system for Covid-19, eligible individuals can register for the vaccine.
