Decline Of Prices For Edible Oil, Bring Relief To Consumers

New Delhi: Huge relief for the consumers as prices of edible oil in India going to come down Decline of prices for edible oil in some categories almost 20 percent. As per the data from the Department Of Consumer Affairs, the prices of edible oils are now coming down. In this time of 2nd wave of Covid 19 as we get to see a rise in the price of essential commodities in due time prices of edible oil decline just to relieve consumers. In some cases, the decline is by as much as nearly 20 per cent as shown in prices in Mumbai.

As per the information from Department of Consumer Affairs here are the prices decline of edible oils:

Drop of 16 % in Palm Oil till 7th may 2021 Price was Rs 142 per kg. now it came down to Rs 115 per kg.

Drop of 16% in sunflower oil till 5th may 2021 price was Rs 162 per kg and it came down to Rs 157 per kg .

Drop of 15% in Soya Oil till 20th may 2021 price was Rs 162 per kg and came down to Rs 138 per kg in Mumbai

Drop of 10% in mustard oil till 16th may 2021 price was Rs 175 per kg and came down to Rs 157 per kg.

Drop of 8% in Groundnut oil till 14th may 2021 price was Rs 190 per kg and came down to Rs 174 per kg.

Drop of 8% in Vanaspati till 2nd may 2021 and came down to Rs 174 per kg .

It may be noted that Prices of edible oil pricesare dependent on a complex set of factors which also include international prices,domestic production.As the gap between domestic consumption and production is high, India has to import a significant amount of edible oil. Government is working on a series of mid- and long-term measures to resolve the issue on a permanent basis.

The measures will contribute towards making India AtmaNirbhar in Edible Oils, which is key ingredient in cooking of food in India.
