New Delhi: Data from the outage tracking website showed that Meta's popular social media applications, Facebook and Instagram, were down for thousands of users worldwide.

As per reports, there were over 18,000 reports of users facing problems while accessing image app Instagram.

Additionally, 59 percent of these users faced issues in accessing the Instagram app while 34 percent had server connection issues and 7 percent had issues in logging into the app.
Notably, Meta faced a similar problem in March this year when thousands of users complained of being logged out of their Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Internet monitoring group NetBlocks informed via a post on Twitter that the two social websites were currently experiencing ‘international outages’. Users took to Twitter to share the issues they were facing with Facebook and Instagram.

Some users were presented with an error message that stated that something went wrong and there’s an issue and the page could not be loaded. Meanwhile, other users shared they got a message stating, ‘error loading media’.

However, the Mark Zuckerberg owned apps are returning to normalcy after the hours-long outage. Both the sites went down around 6 am in the morning on Wednesday.
