Famous Burger Singh expanding in Northeast and West Bengal

India's reputed homegrown burger brand, Burger Singh is planning to expand to the north eastern states and to West Bengal.

Founded by Kabir Jeet Singh, an Oxford alumnus, the fast food chain (M/S Tipping Mr. Pink Private Limited) was started in 2014.

After gaining much popularity, the brand now envisages to become India’s largest Quick Service Restaurant Chain.

Headquartered in Gurgaon, Haryana, Burger Singh is first of its kind to change the American form of burger eating and transforming it to desi Indian burger with Indian spices and flavours. The brand stands for big Punjabi burgers.

Starting with an investment of Rs. 1 crore, the team raised a whopping Rs. 7.5 crores between October 2015 and December 2016.

The company is expanding to 43 locations across West Bengal and the north-eastern states within one year. It will open 6 in Assam and one each in Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura, alongside 34 burger joints in West Bengal.

Burger Singh already has an outlet at City Centre Mall in Guwahati.

Burger Singh has raised Rs. 30 crores in a Series A funding round led by Negen Capital. The company is included in the list of 50 Hot Startups of 2017 by Economic Times.

Anil Kumar, the franchisee owner of the Burger Singh in City Centre, Guwahati, “On an average there is a sale of Rs. 50,000 per day. Since the time of its inception on 3rd July 2022 there has been a sale of Rs. 50 lakhs till now”.

“Niku Singh is one the highest selling burgers as it is of low price. The cheap price has made the brand favourable amongst students," said Chandrani Mazumdar, a regular customer.
