India expects to reach its export target of US$ 62.21 bn in May 2022

Guwahati: India's total exports (Merchandise and Services combined) are expected to reach USD 62.21 billion in May 2022*, representing a 24.03 percent increase over the same time last year.

Merchandise exports in May 2022 totaled USD 38.94 billion, up from USD 32.30 billion in May 2021, representing a 20.55 percent increase. The expected value of services export for May 2022* is USD 23.28 billion, representing a 30.32 percent increase over May 2021. (USD 17.86 Billion).

India's total exports (Merchandise and Services combined) are expected to be USD 124.59 billion in April-May 2022*, representing a positive gain of 25.90% over the same period last year.

Merchandise exports were USD 78.72 billion in April-May 2022, up from USD 63.05 billion in April-May 2021, representing a 24.86% increase. The expected value of services export for April-May 2022* is USD 45.87 billion, representing a 27.71 percent increase over April-May 2021. (USD 35.92 Billion).

Overall imports (Merchandise and Services combined) are expected to reach USD 77.65 billion in May 2022, representing a 59.19% increase over the same time last year.

Overall imports are expected to reach USD 151.89 billion in April-May 2022, representing a 45.44 percent increase over the same period last year.
