Indian Railways to operate 540 'Holi special trains'. Details here

New Delhi: This year will see the addition of 2019 extra trains to ensure that travellers can reach their destinations before the big festival.

These special trains will ply along key routes such as Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Kolakata-Puri, Guwahati-Ranchi, etc. Passengers can book their tickets at the railway stations or on the IRCTC’s official website from the comfort of their homes.

North East Frontier Railway (NFR) has also announced the operation of four pairs of passenger special trains to meet the rush during the festival.

These special trains will connect various destinations, including Dibrugarh, Gorakhpur, New Jalpaiguri, Asansol, Katihar, and Ranchi, to facilitate smoother travel for passengers during the festive period. The details of these train stoppages and timings are available on the IRCTC website and notified on the NF Railway's social media platforms. Tickets can be purchased either from counters at the stations or from the IRCTC website from the comfort of homes.
