Key Decisions taken by Assam CM during Cabinet meeting

Guwahati: On 22 July 2021 Thursday, few decisions were taken during the Cabinet meeting that was chaired by Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister of Assam.

Farmers having annual Patta (Eksonia Patta), Touji Patta, farmers cultivating in devoted land, and are eligible to get land Patta under Forest Rights Act, small tea growers, and horticulture farmers will be also eligible to get the benefits under PM-KISAN.
Quality education is ensured by the government by establishing District Level Vigilance & Monitoring Committee under the chairmanship of Zila Parishad President and Block Level Vigilance & Monitoring Committee under the Chairmanship of Anchalik Panchayat President.

Followed by the allotment of Deputy Commissioners for extraction of the slit from the river basin in respective districts, rest keeping in view of the Environment & Forest Department Rules.

Further, Financial Committee approved projects worth Rs. 2 crores regarding which meeting will be conducted every Monday, Rs 2-10cr projects meeting every Tuesday, the special standing financial committee will be formed under the finance minister of Assam for appraisals of projects worth Rs. 10-100 cr, the meeting will be placed directly at the cabinet.

Also, a new department named, 'Indigenous and Tribal Faith & Culture Department' is created that will handle archaeology, museum, historical and Antiquarian Studies directorate. And the cabinet moreover has approved the framework for decentralization of power to expedite the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission.
