Guwahati: Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam Chief Minister, receives a Lamborghini from a man from Assam.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked the guy for his efforts in a tweet saying, "Delighted to get a customised Lamborghini lookalike automobile from inventor Nurul Haque of Anipur, Karimganj." He also sent his best wishes for all of his upcoming endeavours.

However, the automobile is just not a usual gift. It is a replica of the high-end sports automobile made by the Italian company Lamborghini. The Maruti Swift was modified by the replica's builder to resemble a Lamborghini.
It was his ambition to drive a Lamborghini, the man said.

Nurul Haque, a 31-year-old ambitious mechanic from Karimganj in southern Assam, converted a car into a Lamborghini and gave it to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Upon meeting Nurul Haque, the Chief Minister was awestruck by the thoughtful gift. Following that, he praised Haque for the effort. During his visit to the regional office in the Cachar area, the minister had observed Haque's Lamborghini in Silchar.

Haque spent over 10 lakh rupees on this project, and it took him four months to finish the modification. For the process, he also needed to purchase certain raw supplies.

He had the inspiration to modify a Swift into a duplicate of a Lamborghini last year, when he had little to do due to the Covid-induced lockdown. Haque purchased a used Maruti Swift and completely disassembled it. With the aid of YouTube videos, he then began creating components resembling those of a Lamborghini automobile.

Himanta Biswa Sarma is one of Nurul Haque's biggest influences, and he described it as his dream to give the CM a demonstration of his modified car.

Nurul Haque had earlier on Thursday driven the vehicle from Karimganj to Silchar, where the chief minister was attending a cabinet meeting. Notably, the Assam cabinet holds weekly meetings, with one meeting held outside of Guwahati each month. Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote in a photo caption that he experienced "the exhilaration of driving a 'Lamborghini' created by Nurul Haque."

Haque claimed to have created the automobile as a present for the CM and to have travelled to the Circuit House in Silchar to do so. Instead, the CM extended an invitation to his Guwahati home. Haque expressed his happiness at the CM accepting his automobile and realising his greatest desire.

Finally, on Saturday, Haque delivered the "Lamborghini" automobile to the CM at his residence.
Haque continues by discussing his future intentions to build a Ferrari.
