Maruti Suzuki India on Monday announced that six airbags will now come as standard across popular models such as the Wagon R, Alto K10, Celerio, and Eeco. The move reflects the company's commitment to making advanced safety features accessible across all segments.

Highlighting the rationale behind the decision, Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India, said, “With India’s road infrastructure evolving rapidly, including the expansion of high-speed expressways, the need for comprehensive in-car safety has become more critical than ever.”

He added that by equipping these widely used models with six airbags, Maruti Suzuki aims to ensure enhanced occupant protection for a broader customer base.
