Mizoram Chief Minister to present his first Budget on Feb 27

Aizawl: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma is all set to present the budget for the upcoming fiscal year (2024-2025) - a first for the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) which was elected to power earlier this year. The budget session will get underway on February 19 and last till March 13.

Mizoram Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati will open the session with the customary gubernatorial address, the Assembly commissioner and secretary Vanlalthantlingi, informed.

Lalduhoma, who is currently leading the ZPM government, is expected to focus on the party's unique policy programs in the forthcoming budget. The new Mizoram government is said to be characterized by 'Kalphung Thar', a guiding policy described as a fresh method of governance with a special focus on efficiency and swiftness.

Lalduhoma further stated that they are all set to discuss economic policies at length.  The budget is likely to detail specific steps and spending plans that follow the policy designs, giving a clear plan for Mizoram's financial future under the ZPM rule.
