Mizoram: Lunglei High Powered Committee Vice-Chairman, Pu Lawmawma Tochhawng launched a pilot scheme for eri production in Lunglei called the HPC ERI DEVELOPMENT SCHEME on Friday at the Sericulture Department Conference Hall.

Under this Scheme, 10 selected beneficiary families will be given Rs. 70,000 for construction of rearing house, Rs. 1500/- as silkworm subsidy, and also a material component for setting up their facilities.

HPC Vice Chairman Pu Lawmawma Tochhawng, MLA informed the gathering that HPC Lunglei, in partnership with Line Departments would continue working in earnest for farmers’ welfare across the District. He advised farmers to adopt sustainable farming practices and go according to the advice and inputs from the Department experts.
