NRL aims to achieve 9MT annually by 2025: CMD

Guwahati: Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) will achieve a capacity of 9 million tonnes per annum by 2025. This was revealed by its Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) kar' Jyoti Phukan while addressing the 50th annual general meeting of the Guwahati Management Association (GMA) at the NEDFi Convention Hall here on Tuesday, said a press release.

Speaking as the chief guest at the meeting, Phukan gave an account of the various plans and programmes of the NRL, including the bio-ethanol project based on bamboo.

Earlier, GMA president Chiranjit Chaliha who chaired the AGM welcomed the guests and members. In his secretarial report, general secretary Bibhuti Dutta gave an account of the various activities of the GMA organised during the past one year. The audit report for the year 2020-21 was presented by treasurer Kirti Borboruah.

GMA vice president Bhabesh Hazarika informed the members of the proposed amendments to the GMA constitution. The GMA bulletin edited by Parag Phukan was brought out on the occasion. He also offered a vote of thanks.
