1. 16 years of milestone , now a household name everyone knows . Tell us about the motive behind building Vinayak Furnishing and its insightful journey ?

A voyage of 16 years indeed a series of experiments with our society, with our way of living, with our lifestyle. Initially, we were fairly uncertain about the success rate, but with time we have been quite successful in acquiring a remarkable position in the business. We started with the idea of assembling all sorts of decorative items required to enhance the beauty of each corner of a household under one roof. It was quite challenging to furnish items starting from our huge couches to tiny bottles under the same roof.  Yet with the blessings of our well-wishers and the hard work of our team we made it happen and now Vinayak Furnishing stands firm with its tagline“One Stop Solution” for all furnishings, furniture, and Home Décor needs.

2. In a place like Northeast India, especially Assam, how would you say your company stands apart from all the others as per your business is concerned?

A home is a place where the family resides, where we all go back after the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. We at ‘Vinayak Furnishings work towards enhancing the living experience of families and gifting them a more pleasing and relaxing vibe. Undeniably, we are doing business, but we don’t believe in comparisons and rankings. We let our clients decide and we are certain that they will recall us till their homes exist. That’s what Vinayak Furnishing strives for!

3. It is said that the furniture market witnessed tremendous growth in online order due to the pandemic as people were spending most of their time at home. How was the supply rate for Vinayak Furnishing and its economic rate during these days?

Degrowth or downward curve is perhaps the word as far as everyone’s business is concerned during the pandemic. But we managed to sail through the tide. Our team gave their utmost effort to help our clients with seamless and contactless delivery service. Northeastern people trust us, a lot and we truly value that. Some of our clients even ordered goods without visiting our showroom. Thus, our business is growing well and as the pandemic is coming to an end we are optimistic about better

4. Can you tell us about Vinayak Furnishing’s last year’s turnover? Does Vinayak furnishing spend on CSR activities?

The pandemic has adversely affected every company’s turnover and we were no exception yet we managed to pull off the show successfully and achieved growth in double-digit. As a part of CSR activities, we are associated with ‘Destination’ A home for specially-abled persons/children and other socio-economic organizations.

5. The digital world has allowed people to have more ideas towards décor and lifestyle which proportionally increases the demand from furnishing industries. So considering that what is next in the pipeline for Vinayak Furnishings? How do you plan to take your brand ahead in terms of expanding?

E-commerce is something where Vinayak Furnishing is perhaps somehow trailing. Our team is working diligently on it and hopefully, we will soon be operating in that genre too. We truly believe that e-commerce is the most efficient and reliable way of exchange of goods in today’s era. We consider online shopping to be very competent and wish to grow our brand in that field as well.

6. As a well-known brand in its region, What is the vision for your business expansion in Assam and the Northeast?

We plan to expand our business moderately whenever and wherever possible and as per our client’s requirements. However, we do have precise ideas and a few plans in the pipeline, which the public would soon know as and when it comes into effect. People often recommend us to open our franchise and we welcome their suggestions wholeheartedly.

7. Last but not least,   a few words of encouragement and a guide for our future entrepreneurs would be much appreciated?

At the outset, when we started operating people were not much enthusiastic about home decor and they often considered it as a luxury and not a necessity. Yet we always believed in turning our dream of enhancing the nook and corner of everyone’s home into reality and thus Vinayak Furnishing came into the picture. Business is a series of experiments whose outcome is not always predictable. Launching your own business is a process of investing and understanding your client’s requirements and mapping their thoughts.
