Guwahati: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) becomes the first E & P business in India to trade, domestic gas on the Indian Gas Exchange. On May 23, 2022, ONGC Director (Onshore) In-charge Marketing Anurag Sharma made the first online trade on India's first automated national level gas exchange, IGX. The traded gas comes from the ONGC Krishna Godavari 98/2 block.

ONGC has prepared to reap the benefits of the liberalisation of the gas price ecology that occurred between 2000 and 21. The amount sold by ONGC via the Gas Exchange will gradually increase.

Speaking on the occasion, Director (Onshore) Anurag Sharma stated that it is pleasing to discover that ONGC would be the first E&P firm to trade domestic gas on IGX and that it is prepared.
