Nagaland 25 May 2021: Power Grid Corporation of India has commissioned a power transformer at the Nagaland's Referral Hospital substation, that would lessen the instances of power interruptions and ensure the ample power supply to the State's only Oxygen Plant which will meet its prerequisite during the critical treatment of Covid-affected patients.
Maharatna Government of India CPSU under Ministry of Power, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. has set up the 10 megavolt amperes (MVA) transformer within the span of 2-days after working proactively 24×7, following the Covid-19 Protocols, with immediate measures, after the Govt. sought assistance for the emergency purpose, officials informed.
This 10 MVA transform will provide reliability for the power system to work without any disruption. With this addition, quality power flows to the oxygen plant round-the-clock through the 11kV ongoing Rongmei feeder.
The work was completed successfully under the North Eastern Region Power System Improvement Project ( NERPSIP), a central sector plan scheme of the Power Ministry, intended to augment the power supply & transmission system of the NE-region
