1. Emergence of Peindia has an interesting story. Could you tell the readers of BNE how you came with the concept of opening Peindia?

The founders of Peindia looked into the problems faced by thousands of drivers and riders across the city and thought of solving those issues. All of us realized that Drivers have been suffering for not receiving what they deserved from other existing service providers. On the other hand, the riders also faced problems because of the driver’s negligence towards their duty. Hence, we wanted to come up with a platform where we could build a sustainable bridge between both drivers and riders, increasing the number of comfortable rides completed by the happy drivers.

2. Unlike the other car rental services like Uber, Ola, Peindia has an edge of being Guwahati based for the customer base of Assam. What has been the marketing strategy to create your space among the existing dominance so far?

We wanted our people to know that we are here to help, serve and grow. Initially, we worked on the enrollment of drivers. And later, our driving partners spread the launch of Peindia among the riders community helping us to grow in a very short period of time. We promised our riders to offer the most affordable ride across the city. We also had ride benefits and Referral code offers for our customers.

3. How do you feel Peindia will be able to add to the economic upliftment of our state? Apart from making space for drivers, what kind of employment generation can be expected from your entity?

We are a driver-oriented organization and they are our key partners with their own resources. So, currently, we don’t have any employment option for anyone apart from them.

4. Has Peindia been a part of any CSR activities? And in what ways, the government of Assam can play its role?

We are soon going to launch, FREE ACCIDENTAL EMERGENCY SERVICE, which is one of its kind where you can book our medical vehicle through the Peindia app and track the arrival. We believe that the Launch of Peindia has been a huge responsibility we chose to take upon us. We have generated sustainable options for drivers to earn more than their operational expenses.

We have high hopes from Government to make all Emergency Medical Vehicle services, registered under one app, so people can book an Ambulance online and track the vehicle.

There are thousands of drivers in the city, who took their vehicle off-road post-pandemic, suffering a financial crisis and not being able to pay taxes or unable to renew necessary documents. Hence, we would like to urge the Government to give relaxation on taxes or implement an EMI system for Commercial Cab drivers to pay dues and clear their papers.

5. Your entity is specific to Guwahati right now, what are your plans of expansion? What vision do you have with Peindia?

Peindia Cab has been a Dream project for both drivers and us. We have received immense support from them, which makes us today, one of the leading Cab Service providers across the city.

We have always been a driver-oriented organization and we want to spread our vision to millions of drivers across the country, empowering them and ensuring that they earn more than their operational expenses.

6. What will be your message for the budding entrepreneurs of the Assam / Northeast for a successful business endeavor?

Northeast is a beautiful place and currently a fast-growing market with untapped options for ideas and business. With the development of infrastructure, connectivity, and transport, Assam has become a desirable destination for entrepreneurs. We have to make use of the Government’s North East Industrial Promotion Policy. There can be seen a number of start-ups booming in the city, already. And maybe, if we, people of Northeast India, gather proper knowledge, idea, and confidence, then an empire can be built out of the Northeast, expanding in multiple cities or countries.
