Guwahati: A strategic agreement between two Indian construction firms to bring about new technical advances in the manufacturing business.

Tvasta Manufacturing Solutions, a Chennai -based deep-tech start-up, has struck a strategic collaboration with India Cements Ltd. (ICL). The agreement between the two companies is a first in India's building business. According to the company, it also aligns with ICL Managing Director N. Srinivasan's 'Nation Building Initiative' for India.


According to a statement, the collaboration will see India Cements and Tvasta engage in dedicated R&D and synergetic exchange of technology-centric efforts to develop new raw material formulations used in 3D printing applications, as well as offering mutual strategic support for key projects that offer cost and time-effective, dwelling solutions to the diverse strata of society.

Tvasta Manufacturing Solutions specialises in 3D printing for buildings, ushering in an 'era of sustainability in the Indian construction sector.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Wednesday by Indian Cements Ltd. Director Rupa Gurunath and Tvasta co-founder, COO Vidyashankar.

"We are thrilled that this technology provides a cost-effective building option with a faster turnaround than traditional methods." But what we are most excited about is that this process is more eco-friendly, using less water and sand, two of our most valuable resources," said Ms. Gurunath.

"This collaboration with Tvasta will provide a fresh impetus for the organization's many sustainability activities in the future," she added.
