What’s special about North East Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicle Expo 2024?

Guwahati: An upcoming renewable energy and electric vehicle expo in Guwahati promises to take the Northeast region towards a sustainable future, by bringing scores of stakeholders under one roof. The North Eastern Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicle Expo ’24 will be held from January 19-21 at the Sarusajai stadium in Guwahati.

The expo will focus on manufacturers, renewable energy developers, bioenergy equipment manufacturers, electric vehicle manufacturers, and dealers, say the organizers.

The event will be organized by the Federation of Industry and Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) and supported by various government ministries.

“We are embarking on a transformative journey toward a sustainable future”, assistant director of FINER, Mayuri Bora told Business North East. “This expo is not just an event; it's a collaborative effort to bring innovations that will shape the landscape of clean energy and electric vehicles in the North Eastern region. Our collective vision is to inspire change, foster partnerships, and create a legacy of environmental stewardship. Join us in this endeavour, as together, we pave the way for a greener and more sustainable tomorrow.”

According to a release, the main objective of the expo will be to “highlight the economic, social, and climate change mitigation benefits of clean energy.” It will seek to identify and showcase policies, practices, and experiences that could help increase renewable energy use in the Northeast. It will also seek to create awareness among the about the benefits of solar rooftop projects.

The expo will provide a platform for local entrepreneurs to enhance their capacity and also include B2B sessions to help local players improve their businesses.

“It will facilitate network with trade industries as well as end users with the main aim to find out new businesses and protection of the environment”, said an official.

The event will also have concurrent conference sessions that will cover various subjects tailored to the region’s needs, accommodating approximately 150-200 delegates per seminar focusing on solar energy, biomass energy, energy storage, electric vehicles, and charging infra.
