Guwahati: The IIM Calcutta Innovation Park is hosting the third edition of CONNECT.X, an Assam startup networking event, on March 20.

The event aims to build a collaborative network of startups and allied entities, foster a unified community, and enrich emerging startup founders with valuable industry perspectives. 

With an expected footfall of over 100 participants, the event will be attended by startup founders, seasoned investors, mentors, industry experts, high net-worth individuals, and professional service providers from the state. 

A key highlight of the event will be a discussion on “Navigating the Journey from Product Development to Market Launch: Best Practices and Pitfalls for Startups,” which will be conducted with a panel of entrepreneurs.

Anjan Pathak (co-founder, Vantage Circle), Rishi Baruah (chief managing director, Pratidin Media Group), Biswajit Dey (founder, RCHobbytech Solutions) and the entrepreneur of Shark Tank India fame, Rimjim Deka (founder, Littlebox India) will participate in the discussion. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Sriparna B. Baruah (advisor of NEHHDC and former head of the Centre for Industrial Extension at the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship).

Participants will have the opportunity to secure a Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) grant of Rs. 7 lakhs or Rs 4 lakhs through the MeitY EIR Fellowship and a chance to get incubated at IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. 

IIM Calcutta Innovation Park is a Section 8 company under IIM Calcutta, and has been supporting more than 750 startups from the region since 2017.
