400 people take part in Guwahati airport’s health camp

Guwahati: A free health camp was organized by Indigo Airline and Guwahati International Airport Limited (GIAL), the airport operator of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International  Airport, (LGBIA) in Guwahati, as part of their corporate social responsibility initiatives, an official informed Business North East.

“Over 400 participants attended the camp”, Chief Airport Officer (CAO) Utpal Baruah said, stressing the importance of health, stating that it “brings facilities to the threshold and provides a glimpse into employees' health.”

The camp was held at GIAL Administrative Building for employees working at various organizations. The camp was monitored by Apollo Hospital doctors under the guidance of chief physician Dr Soma Dhar Sarkar and Dr Nabyendu Sinha. 

“The camp included medical tests like blood pressure, diabetics, and dyesight. The doctors also provided counseling on health issues and prevention measures”, Baruah informed.

The Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati was handed over to the Adani Group for operations, management, and development in October 2021.
