Guwahati: The Assam Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) will be the nodal agency for the upcoming Northeast Global Investor Summit. The Managing Director of AIDC will act as the state nodal officer.

The main role of AIDC will be to bring the stakeholders, the Assam government departments under a single umbrella for facilitating investments in this part of the country, an AIDC official told Business Northeast.

The first roundtable of the Northeast Global Investment Summit was organised on April 27. The interactive round table presided over by the Ministry of Development of the Northeast Region (MDoNER) and the Government of Assam saw encouraging participation from start-ups, local businesses, national industry leaders, investment advisors, and industry experts.

The Joint Secretary, Ministry of Development of Northeast Region (MDoNER), Harpreet Singh chaired the roundtable interaction with Bilateral Chambers and Trade Associations in India on April 20 at Vigyan Bhawan Annexe, New Delhi.

The upcoming Northeast Global Investor Summit, 2023 has plans to deliberate, ideate and explore trade and investment opportunities in the Northeast Region.
