Amul's fresh milk to debut in the US market

New Delhi: The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) is poised to introduce Amul Fresh milk to the US through a partnership with the Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA).

The initial rollout will include popular variants such as Amul Tazza, Amul Gold, Amul Shakti, and Amul Slim n Trim, catering to consumers in prominent US cities including New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Washington, and Dallas.

GCMMF managing Director, Jayen Mehta, emphasized the significance of this strategic collaboration and said that under the partnership, MMPA will handle milk collection and processing, while GCMMF will spearhead marketing and branding efforts for Amul fresh milk. Furthermore, GCMMF plans to expand its product offerings in the US market, with forthcoming launches of fresh milk products like paneer, curd, and buttermilk.

The move comes on the heels of GCMMF’s turnover of approximately Rs 55,000 crore during the 2022-23 fiscal year, reflecting an 18.5 percent increase from the previous year. Notably, GCMMF already exports dairy products to approximately 50 countries.
