Guwahati: The Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project, or APART, has launched the Kshyamata mobile application to provide a one-stop solution to all the beneficiaries of the project.

APART officials told Business Northeast that Kshyamata programme has various subcomponents, and through these, they are attempting to promote agri-enterprises in the state.

APART is promoting entrepreneurs with various capacity-building programmes and a set of business development services and finally making them investment ready so that they can access finance through various schemes of the Government of India and Assam.

Discussing the immediate idea to launch the application, the officials said at present there are hundreds of schemes, services and numerous training programmes implemented by various agencies and departments. It was difficult for people to consolidate all on one platform.

Thus, under APART, the Kshyamata app is launched to provide a one-stop solution to farmers, progressive farmers or students who want to pursue their career in agri-entrepreneurship.

The idea of introducing the app started with APART’s initiative to support 1,500 agri-entrepreneurs to date. They found that regularly they had to keep the participants informed. Often the participants were required to visit the APART office for various purposes like generating leads, etc with various queries. Based on such need it is felt that such an application should be introduced.

The selected districts for this project are Barpeta, Cachar, Goalpara, Golaghat, Jorhat, Kamrup Metro, Kamrup Rural, Karbi Anglong, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nalbari and Sonitpur.
