Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor BD Mishra and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein reviewed issues pertaining to growth and tourism in a meeting at the Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on Friday

Mishra emphasised that "the tourist sector gives a big opportunity for entrepreneurship" and that the state government should "explore new avenues for self-employment for the youth of the state."

The governor praised Mein for "making Namsai into a prominent tourism destination in the state" and advised enhancing Vijaynagar's (Changlang) tourist attractions as well.

"The easternmost important region of the state has the potential to develop into a significant tourism destination with the completion of the Miao-Vijaynagar route. The conservation of the famed Namdapha National Park's animals, vegetation, and fauna would be assured through connection, he stated.

Mishra also extended gratitude to the state government for "this year's safe and peaceful Parshuram Kund Mela."
