Indian Railways aim to leverage innovative technology through StartUps for Railways Policy; invites ideas

Guwahati: Indian Railways has come up with an innovative policy to engage start-ups and other entities for innovative solutions to acquire operational efficiency and safety. An innovation policy- “Start-Ups for Railways”, was launched on June 13 by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics, and Information Technology.

Guwahati: Railway connectivity to any region subsequent with not just easy commuting, but also boosts developmental activities and the economy. To date, several parts of the North East are yet to be placed on the railway map. However, in the past few years, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is undertaking several infrastructural developments in the states of this region.

Railway connectivity boost in NE- Bangladesh trade relations

Guwahati: Ensuring better direct connectivity between Northeast India and Bangladesh, the Mitali Express train connecting both the neighbouring countries was flagged off on June 1.  The train is also projected to spur socio-economic development between the two nations by enabling the cross-border movement of goods and people and promoting regional commercial growth.
