Kohima: Nagaland has achieved peace, progress & prosperity: Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has confirmed that the Centre’s vision of mainstreaming the eight states in the North East has borne fruit.

Speaking at an event in Nagaland, Shah said the Centre fulfilled the objective of three Ps — peace, progress and prosperity — in the state where insurgency decreased by 74% between 2014 and 2021 and which has tremendous tourism potential.

The home minister also inaugurated five projects worth Rs 52 crore in Nagaland, where Assembly elections are due this year.

Shah arrived in the state after visiting Manipur earlier in the day.
