Guwahati: As part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahutsav, the Northeast Handicrafts & Handloom Development Corporation Limited (NEHHDC), under the mentorship and guidance of the Ministry of DoNER, dedicated it's new skill development training and excellence centre 'Purbagyanam' in Guwahati, to the youth of Northeast region.

For the corporation, it is indeed a momentous occasion as it joins the national effort of skilling India, stated in a press release.

NEHHDC along with its official technical and training partner 'Wizeiz' and knowledge partners - IIM Shillong, NIFT Shillong, NID Jorhat - will conduct skill development programs based on the present-day industry requirement and also those which would empower the youth to be future-ready.

The program, held on January 31, was inaugurated by Air Marshal Anjan Gogoi, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd) Member, Northeast Council (NEC); Dr. KM Bujarbaruah, Vice President, National Academy of Agriculture Science; Brig RK Singh, MD Northeast Handicrafts & Handloom Development Corporation Ltd; PSLVN Murty, Chairman, NEDFI; Manoj Das, MD. NERAMAC: Shiladitya Sarkar, Regional Head, NSDC (Skill India); Pradeep, Regional Head, Exim Bank: Siddhartha Dutta, CEO, Wiziez, stated the release.
