New Delhi: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), in its annual report, disclosed that CEO and MD K Krithivasan received Rs 25.36 crore in annual compensation for FY24, marking the lowest earnings among top Indian IT leaders. Notably, TCS's outgoing chief operating officer NG Subramaniam reportedly earned more than Krithivasan during the same fiscal year.

Despite K Krithivasan's tenure as CEO spanning 10 months, his salary for that period was notably lower than that of NG Subramaniam, who served for the entire fiscal year. Krithivasan assumed the role of CEO on June 1, 2023, following the resignation of Rajesh Gopinathan, who earned Rs 1.1 crore during his brief two-month tenure before stepping down.

In the last financial year, Gopinathan's total remuneration amounted to Rs 29.16 crore, reflecting a 13 percent year-on-year increase from Rs 25.75 crore.

Meanwhile,  nationwide analysis conducted by Dezerv's Wealth Monitor app, examining over 300,000 mutual fund portfolios, has unveiled a concerning trend: 65 percent of investors are struggling to surpass basic market benchmarks with their mutual fund investments.

Dezerv's analysis pinpointed two significant factors contributing to this challenge. Firstly, many investors continue to make the mistake of chasing past performance when selecting funds. This means they invest in funds that have previously shown strong returns, without considering whether those gains are likely to continue in the future.
